    EAST LONGMEADOW, MA[August 01, 2016] – LENOX® today announced the launch of its new VERSA PRO™ carbide tipped blade for general purpose cutting. The new versatile carbide blade leverages a proprietary carbide tip and HONEX™ Technology in order to deliver long blade life across a variety of metals and cutting applications.

    "Our customers are cutting a variety of materials on a wide range of saws. They require a blade that is versatile enough to handle a wide variety of cutting applications while offering long blade life,&ldqou; said Daniel Fernandes, Brand Manager. &rdqou;Our new VERSA PRO carbide blade provides a solution for customers looking to increase productivity when cutting a range of metals including carbon steels, alloys, tool steel, stainless, and more.&ldqou;

    The new carbide tip grade has increased toughness to retain a sharp cutting edge. The tips feature HONEX TECHNOLOGY, a process that pre-hones the cutting edge in order to minimize chipping and help eliminate the break-in process. VERSA PRO blades are designed to cut a wide range of metals allowing users the versatility needed to keep cutting without stopping for frequent blade changes. Other features that enhance performance include:

    • Multi-chip tooth design balances chip load and reduces cutting forces
    • A moderately aggressive rake angle for easy penetration and balanced wear
    • Precision ground carbide tips have clean, sharp edges that deliver smooth parts and quiet cutting

    The VERSA PRO blade will be available in a wide range of blade widths to fit the majority of carbide friendly band saws.

    Beginning August 1st, 2016, the LENOX VERSA PRO blades will be available at Industrial Distributors throughout the U.S. and Canada.
